What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is one of the most innovative and effective skin boosting injections on the market. It harnesses the abilities of Hyaluronic Acid to bond to water and to stimulate collagen production. It’s designed to improve the quality, tone and texture of your skin.

Hyaluronic Acid occurs naturally in our skin. It holds the water passing by in the surrounding tissue, plumping the skin from beneath. It’s also essentiall for the building of collagen.

But after the age of 25, we lose around 1% of the Hyaluronic Acid in our skin every year. Our bodies have no way to reverse this trend. The result is loss of hydration, volume, texture and condition.

How does it work?

Hyaluronic Acid is well known as an ingredient in Dermal Fillers such as Juvederm. But in Profhilo, its purpose is quite different.

Profhilo contains the highest concentration of Hyaluronic Acid of any injectable treatment. Because it is thermally bonded, where dermal fillers are chemically compounded, it doesn’t remain as a hard gel but instead spreads out, naturally gathering water molecules where they’re most needed. This creates a huge hydration boost.

The injections also replenish lost collagen, increasing skin’s elasticity, and improving appearance, texture and hydration. Profhilo continues to encourage fresh collagen to be produced in the skin for a number of months after treatment.

The specially formulated serum is injected into skin tissue, restoring levels of hyaluronic acid previously found within the skin. This replenishes the skin’s lost collagen, visibly restoring a youthful appearance.

Patients start Profhilo treatment with a shortage of hyaluronic acid in their skin. Profhilo injections take place twice, four weeks apart, to give a boost that will give benefits for six months afterwards.
